We are passionate about helping you develop and maintain your team members' capability, so you can get on with the work you need to do!

New Zealand Biosecurity Academy Limited, also trading as Workplace Training is a nationwide provider of specialist workplace training courses and services utilising recognised adult learning best practices. We deliver flexible, professional and cost effective training and assessment services to our clients across New Zealand.

 

We are driven to support businesses, employees and the community to improve Health and Safety best practice and are proud to deliver Health and Safety training and courses specific to Construction Health and Safety. 

We are accredited by the Construction Safety Council as a National Mobile Testing Centre for ConstructSafe testing and assessment.

 

We can complete testing and training at your site or you can come to one of our test facilities. We complete ConstructSafe testing and training across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and anywhere else you require us to be.

In addition to our Health and Safety construction related courses and training offerings, we also offer English for Construction workers, Training and Verification, Train the Trainer, and Leadership and Management courses.

Learning and Development Manager

Greg has over 10 years' experience in the tertiary adult education sector and has developed and facilitated a wide range of training programmes. He also has considerable education management experience, with a strong strategic and operations focus.

He has consulted closely with local businesses, Ministry of Education and Tertiary Education officials, as well as local and national tertiary sector groups to ensure training priorities and needs are met. Greg looks forward to meeting you and ensuring Workplace Training continues to deliver  fantastic training opportunities.

Kate has a diverse and extensive training and human resources background spanning more than 20 years. Kate holds New Zealand adult education qualifications and has successfully developed and delivered training across the public and private sectors of New Zealand and offshore.

An experienced team manager, Kate ensures our team of trainers, facilitators and assessors meet or exceed your business requirements.

Todd has taught bar skills, waitering, barista, customer service and business management for a number of years before moving into the Industry Training Organisation (ITO) world. He started with the Hospitality Standards Institute as a Training Advisor helping students complete their qualifications in the workplace, then spent a bit of time as an Assessor.

Todd is an Assessment Specialist and workplace Assessor trainer and has spent time with MITO, training Management and Leadership to Mechanics, Panel Beaters and Spray Painters, before returning to ServiceIQ for the past year or so.

Kylie has over 30 years administration experience and a wealth of knowledge from her customer-facing positions. She has a passion for helping others succeed, has held sole charge positions and successfully assisted with Learning & Development in the Healthcare sector for several years.

Her experience with ongoing staff training and Health & Safety committees in her previous roles has given her a wealth of knowledge to add to NZBA’s friendly team.

Her financial background gives her sound experience with your account and invoicing needs. She has a pragmatic approach to the NZBA learner processes and is always happy to help.

 

She holds a current ConstructSafe Test Supervisor qualification for ongoing assessment facilitation.

 

Kylie looks forward to assisting you with your training & assessment coordination and administrative requirements.

Neil moved to New Zealand 26 years ago having previously lived, studied and worked in Yorkshire, Wales, Scotland and London. He was originally a Geologist and spent several years on oil rigs in the North Sea and the Adriatic. After emigrating, he worked for 25 years at Canon New Zealand and enjoyed success looking after the North Shore. Neil has a passion for conservation, animal welfare and environmental welfare.

 

He has worked as a volunteer for various organisations which has included releasing orangutans in the Borneo jungle and working as a ranger in a coastal rain forest in Costa Rica. His ultimate goal was to work in a field close to his heart so he feels very privileged now to be working in Biosecurity and Health and Safety with NZBA. Neil prides himself on attention to detail and looking after the very best interests of customers.
